- Palm Beach Zoo Wins the Gold!
- The Palm Beach Zoo, in large part because of a solar array donated by the FPL Group Foundation for its new animal care center, becomes the first zoo animal hospital in the country to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification by the United States Green Building Council. The zoo has been certified at the Gold Level.
