Group Reservation and Program Information

Bring your group to the wildest place in town! With 1,500 exotic and endangered animals and 23 acres of beautiful tropical plants the Palm Beach Zoo is a delightful and educational outdoor classroom. We also offer a wide variety of education programs with hands-on learning opportunities for participants of all ages. All zoo programs meet the benchmarks of Florida's Department of Education's Sunshine State Standards. The zoo offers special discount rates to groups of 20 or more. Group reservations should be made in advance. Please note that group rates are not available on special event days.

Night Owls Overnight Adventure

Discover the zoo after hours and meet our creatures of night! This program is ideal for classes, scout groups, community organizations and families. Participants enjoy animal encounters, a night tour of the zoo, snack, continental breakfast and wild activities! For more information please call 561-533-0887 ext. 229. Please note that all snooze programs must be reserved in advance. This program is designed for participants ages 6 and over.

Family Programs

The education department offers a variety of programs throughout the year for participants of all ages. For information regarding any of the programs listed below please contact the education department at (561) 533-0887 ext. 229. Please note that all education programs require advance registration.
Servals

Children's Workshops

The zoo offers exciting workshops designed for young children ages 2 - 4 years old! Workshops are held in the classroom and include: hands-on animal encounters, stories, snack, song, craft-time, and admission to the zoo. Parent(s) or guardian(s) are required to attend this program with participant. Programs last for one to one and a half hours. Two year old workshop excludes snack.

Home School Classes

The Palm Beach Zoo is proud to offer elementary level home school classes for students throughout Palm Beach, Martin and Broward Counties. Students will explore a variety of topics through up-close animal investigation experiences. These classes are designed to provide an interactive approach to animal and life sciences. Classes are offered in the spring and fall of each year.

Teacher Workshops

The Palm Beach Zoo offers teacher in service credit workshops throughout the year. There are workshops that are held at the zoo or they be presented at your facility if you have minimum group of 15 or more people. To schedule a workshop, be placed on our mailing list or for more information please call (561) 533-0887 ext. 229.
Workshops
Project WET Workshop - Soak up knowledge, hands-on activities and materials with this interdisciplinary water education program that focuses on water resources.
Project WILD or Aquatic WILD Workshop - Both are interdisciplinary environmental education programs emphasizing wildlife and its habitat.
Project Learning Tree Workshop - This program uses trees and the forest as a window to the natural world. PLT is designed to encourage students to learn about the natural world around them - their place within it, and their responsibility for it.
Florida Black Bear Curriculum Workshop - This workshop focuses on the Florida Black Bear Curriculum and includes lessons on the natural history and conservation needs of this threatened species.
